So if you've booked a studio shoot with me or are thinking about it, you might be wondering where I make all the magic happen. I thought you might like to take a little peek into my little slice of heaven, my quiet, happy place, also known as, my studio. If you know me on a personal level, you know having this space is a dream come true for me. It's not finished yet, as you can tell from the photos.
We still need to finish some final touches (the stairs, the baseboard ect.) It's hard to believe a month ago it was nothing but concrete walls and now it almost just as I imagined it, thanks to my amazing husband for working day and night (late, late nights) trying to get all of this done for me. The most exciting part of all is going to be hanging MY art on the walls. I can't wait!!!
Lets talk about HATS!
.....I hand knit each and every one of these babies! So much time and love goes into making all of the knits in my studio. I buy the softest, most amazing yarn (usually hand dyed by other small business owners). Everything from Alpaca, Merino and the most luxurious Angora. If you are a knitter, you will understand my excitement here. I LOVE being able to offer colour choices for your newborn shoot. I want you to tell me your nursery colors so I can make sure to coordinate your shoot so that your images will look stunning on the walls!
Props, Props, and more Props......
Seriously though... I have a ton of stuff which is not all pictured here because I need to buy some more shelving. Once again, I hand knit all of the bump blankets and layering pieces. When you come to my studio for a shoot, everything is included. You just need to bring your baby, kids, or yourself and you are all set. If you have something sentimental that you would like to include in your shoot, by all means, run it past me beforehand so I can plan to use it. Also, I just have to say how much I LOVE that vintage wood chair that my friend Laura gave me. Isn't it awesome?
Valentines's Mini's are underway right now, I can't believe it is in 4 days! I am doing them a bit late this year since my studio wasn't quite finished but now is as good a time as any if you ask me! The little one's co-operate much better with a giant, heart shaped lollipop in their hands!
Below, you will see some more knitted wraps & backdrops, but more importantly, BEARS! I have been knitting so many cute little bears for newborn shoots! How cute are they?! I am dying to fill this basket up with every single color, but seriously, who has the time?
I hope you enjoyed my studio tour! If you check back again soon, you will see lots more updated photos as things come together a little more. In the meantime, if you have any questions about booking with me, please shoot me a message!
